Lapco Bigshot - 8' to 12'

I have a Bigshot barrel in the 8' size. Question is if I get the 12' version, will it improve the range on my shots. I mean I know it should improve it but will it be a big difference is basically what im asking.

Re: Lapco Bigshot - 8' to 12'

it will not improve your range. just the accuracy. if you want more range, id suggest an apex tip

I'm with kirknd4spd.

I have a 12" Lapco Bigshot on my A-5. Didn't increase my range, but sure tightened up the grouping. Worth the investment, in my opinion.

Re: Lapco Bigshot - 8' to 12'

i have a couple team mates who have these barrels. it increased their effective range. If you guys think about what you're saying it actually makes sense. You're saying that it gives you a tighter grouping, well the 8" has just as tight a grouping, but at shorter distances. The 12" has the same grouping, but with a little more reach than the 8". The 8" and 12" are made the exact same way therefor they produce the exact same results, but at different distances.

Zulu is right on the money...I have both barrels and they shoot exactly the same....I just get a slightly longer range out of the 12".

well I do have a 12' J&J Ceramic that I bought when I 1st got the gun. It works fine and I'll just stick with that. Save some money anyway. Does anyone have a J&J vs a Bigshot 12'...Hows the differences?
