Re: Other barrel or not

Use the search, Luke!

This question (or similar ones \) have been asked many times before.

I like my flatline, but dont like the chopping. I recommend a JJ ceramic or a PPS Brass. Its always good to have a backup barrel anyways.

When using the flatline, remember, bore to barrel match and paint quality are everything. When using something like a JJ, or palmers especially, you dont have to worry about this as much. The flatline is a picky barrel, but when used with the right paint, it will serve well.

PPS Brass. Nuff said.

Honestly though, as long as your flatline is working good for you I would stick with it. The only thing I have heard is they can be picky about paint and need to be "tuned" so as long as you are willing to deal with that......for me, PPS brass. Load the hopper and shoot. Nothing else needed. lol

Re: Other barrel or not

Like Prophet, I too have a flatline and a backup barrel for those days where the paint is not working for the flatline.

My backup is either a J&J ceramic or a Lapco Bigshop.

Re: Other barrel or not

EJ to answer your question. It doesnt hurt to have an extra barrel if all you have is an FL. The FL can be picky at times, and depending on what paint is available. I use to run my barrel kit when times dictated I not go with my FL. Now I have an assortment of barrels. I change from time to time depending on what set up I am using and what configuration I have my marker in.
