It took me a second to figure out what you were talking about. Those are just abbreviations for the various D-Day units. For example, the 6th Fallschirmjager Regiment is often abbreviated as 6FJR and the 1st Infantry Division as 1st I.D. There's only one night game during the week leading up to the main event...the rest of the nights are for sleeping. PM sent with more info....

Well, I always know where to find you and Britt ![]() But I need to get the patch sewn on to my uniform and vest. I'll be housed in the RV spot (can't remember which, right now). But ask at the 716th camp, and somebody can point you guys in the right direction.

The "Fallschirmjaeger" were the German paratroops, much like the 101st, 82nd, 17th, and 11th Airborne Divisions in the US Army, and the 1st and 6th British Paratroop Divisions. The 6th FJR (FallschirmJaeger Regiment) is most famous for fighting among the hedgerows of Normandy in the summer of 1944 against the Allied Invasion, particularly against the 101st Airborne in Carentan. Some history of the Fallschirmjaeger can be found here.
