This is my review on the Viewloader Eye Force Force-feed Loader.

Here is the product's website with pictures:
http://www.viewloader.com/product.php?pid=8036&cid=18

Introduction:

After my (agitated) Halo TSA LCD loader quit on me last time I was out playing, I went in search for a new loader. After doing some research online I was convinced that the Viewloader Eye Force was a great product for the price and decided to purchase one. I bought it at Point Blank Paintball in Comox for $50, which is anywhere from 1/2 to 1/3 of the price that I could have paid for a Halo B/Empire B. I used it all day today and it worked flawlessly.

Fit / Installation - A+

The installation was as easy as it could possibly have been. It came in two parts in the box, the bottom which includes the catch cup, raceway and electronics, and the top which is the hopper. Also in the box were the three screws that holds the two parts together. I love the way that Viewloader configured the battery placement in this hopper. The batteries (two 9-volt cells) are located internally, around the catch cup. They sit upright in slots molded into the body and are connected to the electronics via the standard simple 9-volt adaptors (which are connected to the main board using pin connectors and are therefore easily replaceable).

The feedneck of the loader was a little tight getting into my marker's feedneck, but a bit of sanding will fix that. If you have a clamping feedneck (which you should!), you won't have this problem.

Finish / Quality - A

The shells of the hopper look and feel durable and are modelled after the tried and true VL200 shake 'n' shoot hopper. I would have liked to see a magnetic lid like on my Halo TSA, but for $50 I can't complain. The lid on this loader is pretty good anyway. The internals also look to me like they are of good quality and I don't expect this loader to break or fail on me anytime soon.

The profile is a bit big and blocky from the front, but no more so than a Halo B. You're going to get shot in the loader sometimes anyway, so who cares.

My main gripe with Viewloader is that, instead of including a sheet with stickers in the box, they decided to put them (~10) all over the loader at the factory! I spent a 1/2 hour peeling off stickers and removing all of the adhesive off of the loader when I got home.

Performance - A+

The Viewloader Eye Force is rated at 20bps max. It performs just as it is advertised. I was shooting 13-15 bps bursts all day, and this loader had NO problems whatsoever keeping up. In a 20bps test, it performed decently. but that is at the upper end of its ability. It is a true force-feed loader and behaves like any other, more expensive one would. Will it shoot 30bps, no, but will you be shooting 30bps, no! This marker keeps up great with 15bps, which is about the maximum that I will ever be shooting it (I usually keep my board capped at 13bps).

The loader has dual eyes for detecting light/dark paintballs. They work great and help conserve battery power. The loader only feeds when no balls are detected in the feedneck. When it is not spinning, the impeller keeps tension on the ball stack using a spring just like any Halo B/Empire B does. This loader is great on batteries. My batteries' voltages have barely dropped below their original charge after shooting a 1/2 case of paint today.

I didn't have to use the anti-jam function today while I was playing, but I tested it later and it works excellent! I was feeding normally again in seconds.

It doesn't have any settings, the force applied is not modifiable, but it worked just perfect for me as it is set-up. Again, for only $50, I wasn't expecting this loader to be configurable.

Manual / Documentation - A+

The manual included is excellent and details battery installation, operation, cleaning, maintenance, paintball safety, and trouble shooting. Not bad in this world where manufacturers often put less effort into their product documentation then they should!

Value Per Dollar - A+

For $50, this hopper is worth every penny. Its MSRP is $90 USD, and I would have easily payed that much for it. It is a quality brand name, true force-feed loader with eyes for < $100. I'm very impressed.

My Overall Score: A+

Conclusion:

The Viewloader Eye Force is an excellent loader for the price (and an excellent loader, period). It is easy to use, durable and works flawlessly. I recommend this loader to anyone looking for anyone who wants a great, true force-feed loader at an affordable price.

I will be updating this post with a video of a drop test soon.

I hope that this review helps you with your decision.

Re: Review - Viewloader Eye Force

I purchase one about 3 weeks ago. I keep chopping with my 98 e-bolt that is capped at 13bps. You guys think im chopping because its not a 90 degree feed neck ? What kind of gun are us using with your eye force ?

Re: Review - Viewloader Eye Force

I'm using an ION under mine.

I'd look to the marker or the paint for your chopping problem. Even the average agitated loader can usually keep up to about 13bps. The feedneck should not present too much of an issue, I see Halo Bs on 98Cs all the time.
