![]() Smokin Products makes many different items of clothing for paintball, but I'm going to focus on their OutlastTM pants. With the majority of products being manufactured overseas, it's great to find a company here in the USA that provides quality product at a reasonable price. They are offered in several different camo patterns and also a few plain colors like olive drab and black. Fit: 10 These pants fit very well, due to being very adjustable. They stay in place. And even after running and diving, I never felt like I had to re-adjust the pants to make them comfortable again. The waistband is cut vertically down each hip, with a Velcro flap on each side being used to adjust the size. This makes it very easy to put on and remove these pants. There is plenty of room around the legs, but not so much that it feels like you are swimming in the pants. And there are adjustable cinches at the ankles to keep them snug (which can be removed if so desired and put back in later). Finish: 8 They are put together very well, and are very durable. The key point I see in this area is the knee section. The pants have a reinforced Coruda knee that can take a lot of abuse. These things were meant to handle the rough slides through dirt and debris that come with playing paintball in the woods. Plus, there is space between the reinforced knee and the actual pant to slip a pad in between. Smokin sells pads that are specifically cut to fit this space, but it is very easy to make them based on individual preferences. There is also a long thin pocket on the right leg that is made to hold a folding battle swab. The only change I can think of would be to add Velcro closures to the back pockets, which can drape open due to being so large. That is the only reason I gave them an 8. Maintenance: 9 The pants are very easy to maintain, and will hold up to repeated washings with very little fading and discoloration. Performance: N/A I could say that with these pants you'll gogg every foe on the field with one shot, but that is not true..... it'll take a couple shots. Value: 8 Yes, there are paintball pants out there that are much cheaper. But when the OutlastTM pants are compared to others that are of the same quality, their price is very good. As of the writing of this review, they are on sale for $80. The average rating I come up with is 8.75 I highly recommend these pants. If you talk to pretty much anyone that plays in them, they will agree. If possible, borrow a pair from a friend and try them out for a bit. You'll be ordering them soon after. ![]()

| Re: Review: 'Smokin Products' Outlast Paintball Pants I have a pair, and love them. ![]() My only gripe is the kneepads. I've found they're great for taking a knee, but simply don't have the thickness and hardness to function well when dropping to slide. As such, when playing speedball, I throw on actual kneepads, and when out in the woods I use the inserts. Just my $.02 ![]() |

| Re: Review: 'Smokin Products' Outlast Paintball Pants They were a vendor out at Global Conquest. I got to talk with the owner, and they were the only vendor that left their displays out when the rain came. A couple good shakes and they were good to go. Thumbs up to them. |
