I was tooling around eBay looking for paintball gear and found a great item. eBay seller karinvail creates padded, low profile, custom camo caps that are very similar to 100th Monkey's Turtle Caps.

She offers different camo patterns. I bought the MultiCam version which is a little pricier.

The cap itself is all fabric so it is not stiff like a Turtle Cap and it does not completely eliminate the sensation of being hit with a paintball.

The cap is custom made, so it fits well. The bill covers the back of the neck providing adequate protection.

I originally bought my cap in the spring, so as summer came around, I found it a little hot to play in (not a big deal if you wear a beanie year-round,) but in the cooler and rainier months (I live in the PNW,) it is perfect since the cap provides protection from the elements and it is waterproof.

Compared to wearing a regular cap or even a beanie, I found that I have been getting a lot more bounces wearing it.

I actually just saw this on Ebay yesterday. Pretty ironic, that you Did a review of it. I am glad someone on here has ordered from there. Now i think i will be gitting one. Thanks for the review.

I am very happy with my custom padded cap. It was a good purchase, especially since we are getting into the cooler and wetter months. My melon is protected and I've been getting more bounces when I wear it. If it rains, I don't have to worry about my cover, ball cap, or beanie soaking up the water like a sponge.

Thanks for the review, I just ordered a CADPAT model to go with the rest of my gear. I might order a black one later for my CQB/indoors setup as well.
