I've had some more visitors of a meaner variety. I've had a few of these fly over my head in the last few days, but these two crappy shots were all I was able to get.




When you're used to loud supersonic fighters all over the place, you kind of ignore the soft screaming these flying tanks make. But if the pattern holds up, two more will be flying tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can catch one then.

well well well. Fellow AF aviation enthusists.

I live by Langley, AFB, VA. We have the first active squadron of F-22 Raptors. I go to langley at least once a week and I usually see aircraft flying there. It's pretty cool that the aircraft can fly right over you as they land when your driving onto base. It's almost like you can reach out and touch them. I'll try to get some F-22 shots if I can for everyone.

I'm not sure why, but there's been an increase in activity with Independence Day coming. Odd, I don't know of any air show going on. Some of the lower flying craft show up pretty well on my small lens, but I'd really like to get some detailed shots. I think I may just go park right by the landing strip for an hour or two.

a-10's are badassed wehn i was in the army i seen one flying with half a wing missing! the a-10's are mean! the whole plane was built around the gatling gun! the pilot sits right on top of the damn thing too

I've had some fliers of a different sort around lately.





Can anyone tell me why dragonflies like to perch on wire? The tomato plant cages, the grape vine trellis, they just congregate around them.

Oh man I love A-10s. Every day in the morning and afternoon I can catch a pair of F-15s out flying over my house doing training runs I'm going to assume. Pretty sweet sight. Waking up to them is not so much.
