Yeah, I don't know. I think now was the perfect time for George to punch out - his recent material was getting less inventive, and he seemed to really be reaching for the edge he used to have. Given that George was such a rock-and-roll kind of guy, it seems appropriate that he would pass away before he needed diapers. Note to Gene Simmons: that's how it's done, you crass old fossil.

As an example, look at precisely how cool guys like Robin Williams (formerly kind of edgy) are not. Can you imagine George Carlin in Mrs. Doubtfire?

Man, that's two important influences on my life gone within a year. Evel was the other, both seemed almost larger than life while I was growing up.

Its hard to believe, I've seen him in concert 4 times. he was great. I still have original copies of his first 3 albums. that's right albums!!!!

He was one of the funniest men alive. I can't believe he's dead. He won't be forgotten though. thats for SURE.
