Re: Metal Gear

I wish I had a PS3 so I could say that I love it. I'm sure I would. I played the first 2 but missed out on the 3rd.

Awesome games.

Re: Metal Gear

I used to think the PS3 was overpriced, but then my wife bought me one for Father's Day...let me just say nothing beats MGS4 on a 42" 1080p w/ HDMI hookups...just sooooo beautiful. I don't know how I made it 27 years w/o High Def gaming.

Re: Metal Gear

I've not played MGS4. I voted "Love it" because that's how I feel about the series as a whole.

yeah, it's just that whole... worthwhile games for the PS3 thing. MY buddy bought one & got resistance & marvel ultimate alliance. I think it's just sitting there collecting dust right now.

My brother was doing cartwheels wheeling & dealing for one & he just sits around playing his PS2 all day. He didn't even take it with him when he went back to college back in Jan & still hasn't unpacked it from under his bed this summer.

I got people waiting to see how FFXIII turns out before they make a decision on their next-gen choice.

as far as the blu-ray thing goes I don't think it matters unless you have an insanely overpriced TV & I've never looked at ANY movie & thought it's quality lies in how good the resolution is.

The online is free but I'm sure it lacks in some way, and how is the down loadable content on the PS3? Please correct me if I'm wrong but I've never actually heard if there is any.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to knock the PS3 or jack this thread b/c it's not my intention... just had to put my 2 cents in.

Re: Metal Gear

I have an atari series 2600, and it has MORE better games then the PS3 IMO.

It looks really nice, but i feel that there should be more games out for it, hopefully there shall be more in the near future.

MGS4 looks really nice, i never played any of the games in the series. I was thinking about picking up a ps2 just so i could play it, cause my friend is obsessed with it.

Re: Metal Gear

This game is awesome. Don't go in expecting a FPS. It's not that. It's a sneaking mission for most of it. With a TON of cinematic cut scenes. Heck, the Naomi Hunter cut scenes alone are droolicious. I've never been this emotionally involved in playing a video game before...and I wanted to K.I.L.L. Liquid. The end is definitely very satisfying.

Going through it without killing humans will get you certain rewards, but with the sheer multitude of weapons in-game, avoiding shooting PMCs will be difficult.

One of the best parts is you can customize and upgrade certain weapons: red-dots, mag-scopes, lasers, flashlights you name it...reminded me of how we upgrade our A5s!!!

Best of all, there's a lot of CQC in there. It'll make you want to rush out and go play CQC paintball in full CQC gear!

-Deac

P.S. Deac3000, add me!
