Special Ops shipping

Just wondering what Special Ops shipping is like lately. I've heard some stories about long waits and high costs on shipments to Canada. Anyone bought anything recently?

Re: Special Ops shipping

The largest thread in the customer service section of their forums is about just that. Lot of unhappy Canadians........

Re: Special Ops shipping

They reduced the cost in the states but they ship DHL and then DHL hands it over to your local post office--DHL does not transport anything on saturday and with the hand off it adds like four extra days to the shipping--I would rather pay a few more bux for UPS but I don't see any choices on the site.

Re: Special Ops shipping

I just bought a few things from them recently, and with the whole DHL thing..... I got my stuff a day earlier than the expected delivery date.

Re: Special Ops shipping

Yeah, but did you pay upwards of a 100% shipping premium? That, unfortunately is the situation those of us north of the border are facing. The Xmas stocking would have cost me more in shipping than the price of the stocking for example....LOL

Ah well, I know Madsina has been voicing our concerns to the powers that be. Hopefully something will come of it all The Fusion jersey and pants look some comfy, but not $71 shipping comfy

Re: Special Ops shipping

I've ordered from them multiple times and have even missed having items for play because of the stupid DHL/Post Office alliance thing that they use. Basically, the item might arrive at the post office from DHL before 8am on Thursday, but it won't be delivered by post office until Friday afternoon. So it basically sits for 24 hours. That's poor service. It would be better if DHL delivered it themselves. I wish they would give you a choice on what carrier you use. I'd stick with UPS or USPS because I've had good experiences with both. Plus, DHL's tracking system is horrible.

Re: Special Ops shipping

I just ordered some stuff from them last tuesday and two days later I had my gear. So I give them an A+ for their shipping.

Re: Special Ops shipping

I only see one solution for you guys...live south of the border. Of course, you'll want to be out by 2009, when we "test" our selective service system.

Re: Special Ops shipping

I just ordered some things from Special Ops and paid for 2 day service from their location to mine (Zip code 30830 in Georgia). Lets see how well they do. I use DHL some for work and they have not had too many issues....

Re: Special Ops shipping

In my experience DHL itself is fast, but their cripple is when they hand off packages (not sure if they do for all packages including 2 day shipping etc) to the post office to deliver. The latest thing I got from DHL got to my city lets say on tuesday, handed off to USPS, wednesday they sorted it, and finally got it thursday. It was like an extra day on top of any other carrier where it arrives, and is sorted that night and shipped out the next day. Oh well.
