I had a simular experiance with the military households goods mving people. Called to ask about a shipment and after trying every sub menu they had none let me talk to a real person. Then it just hung up on me.

I finaly got a real person and before i hung up I was sure to ask for a direct # and his extension.....however when i called the number it prompted me to input his extension.....I typed in 5456 or whatever it was...net I hear
The extension 0000 does not exest. Then another hang up. No extension worked. Used up like 45 cell minits that day trying to ask if my goods arived yet. grrrrrrrrr


I also hate to hear...pleas listen carfully...our menu options may have changed.......
it never goes away.....they say that always...even if options are the same for over a year

Funny dell problem i had:

Modem got fried in a lightning storm.

I called customer service for help one afternoon.

Some guy who can barely speak english answers and tries to help me.

After spelling my name for him several times and him not understanding, i ask him where he is.

INDIA!

I promptly hang up.

I try calling again at 7 in the morning.

An operator in Canada who speaks english is all too happy to help me.

I hate Dell.

Dont you just love that? I had a friend totally go off on one of those people. Not that its their fault, but seriously how can they help you if you cant understand them?

i cant understand why a multibillion dollar company is paying people in india to do the dirty work of dealing with their customers.

thats just the same as the stuff im learning in my world issues class. big companies such as GM, Dell, pretty much anything are closing their plants in developed countried to set up in less develop countries where they dont have to pay the workers as much.

some people may know the story of flint, michigan. and miachel moore's movies that he has made. i think the one about flint is called "roger and me." go rent/buy it. its a good one.

while some of the point mr moore makes are valid, most of content of his films are twisted saddly.

big companies want to make more by spending less. outsourcing is a huge way they do this. and usually, their clients/customers don't like it. its really up to the unhappy public to show their displeasure and stop supporting companies who do this at large extents.

You know as much crap as we go through with this. Those smaller countries really do benefit from the added jobs. What we call low wages is decent pay for them. Helps the world economy to our listening horror.

the whole town of flint begged nike to open a plant there, and they said they would work for minimum wage all day but nike said NO. big companies do not care about anything but money.

and as for all of those people who supposedly benifit from big company factory jobs? they just become dpendant on the company for their survival. the people do not learn anything.
