Having probs with both my cable tv and cable high speed dropping off. Call the number and press all the right buttons. Get a message that they have recently improved their phone customer service and as a result it may take LONGER for someone to answer my call? HUH?? LOL

I'm glad to see you have a sence of humor. The ones I love are I pick up my phone dial the number follow the prompts and the system hangs up on me..... My next favorite are these voice commanded systems. No I DONT want to say my credit card number out load, and when I ask for a customer service rep I want a customer service rep right then not after 10 minutes of following prompts.

you just hit a nerve with that one!! those things are the bane of my existence right now! sometimes they get things wrong and you have to repeat yourself. i get around it by just saying, "operator" or "customer service" and even if the machine says it doesn't understand, i'll say it again and then it will automatically transfer me to a live person usually.

OOOO I have another great one just happened to me. I called the college Financial Aid office and it went through all the prompts and it said dial 0 for an operator. Well I hit the 0 and guess what it hung up on me!!! Lets just say I sent them a fax and asked them to call me.

I was humming along with the "elevator music" when I was on hold once and the operator picked up, said nothing and was listening to me. By the time I realized the music had stopped, she started laughing and so did I. Though I did consider a few choice words I never said them cause it was pretty bad.

hmm...bad CS stories...

these are from dealing with Dell...

i was not able to find teh Dell CS phone number for whatever reason, even when checking online, i was not able to find it. i could find numbers for ordering Dell products.
I finally found a number that i thought would be the one to call, and indeed, it was a CS line. as i am listening to the line of options i am waiting for: talk to a CS rep. yet it did not come. all the other options would not have helped me, because they were too broad and didn't deal with anything i needed to know about. i just needed to ask someone a question that was not in their FAQ section.

when i got to the end of the list i waited a second and expected to here: press 0 to talk to an operator or press # to return the main menu. keep in mind i've spent 15 minutes wading in and out of their various sub sections trying to find one that either helped me, or took me to a real person.

after that second of waiting was up, the recorded voice simply said "Goodbye"

thanks, thanks alot dell...

so i called back...

and right away yelled HELP!!!! into the phone. the recorded voice rsponded: "i'm not sure i understood you, please say your question again"

Me:
HHHEEEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!

Dell recorded voice:
"let me connect you with e CS rep right away, thank you"


when in doubt, yell for help
