Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

There used to be a TV show called "Kung Fu" and the lead characters name was Kwaichang Kane.

My last name is Kane. It just seemed like a natural callsign :-)

I am also a huge Falcon 4.0 fan and my callsign there was Bronco. Bronco was the callsign of an F15 Pilot in a Tom Clancy book called The Bear and the Dragon.

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

years ago, I was setting up my first email account. My name was taken, so I was trying to come up with something. I was drinking a Rogue dead guy ale, and Rouge was always one of my favorite Xmen characters. I added the 42, because 42 is the meaning of life.

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

Mine Is TBird and was given to me by pals because while they were buying new bikes and mustangs, I was searching for a particular Ford Thunderbird. They said that a Thunderbird is not a car you search for...its a car you end up with (needless to say I disagree).

My handle here is TBird combined with another Ford reference...

SVT = Special Vehicle Team; one of Fords performance divisions combined with Tbird and you get SVTbird.

And now you know...and knowing is half the battle!

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

"Grape" came from a best friend. When we were teenagers, we were playing basketball and I happened to have a Phoenix Suns shirt on. I was the biggest one playing and he just happened to yell, "pass it over here you big grape" ......

My nephew couldn't pronounce "Uncle." It always came out as "Jungle." He pronounces better now, but the name stuck.

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

I actually use to use "X" as my callsign for all the video games I would play. But when signing up for most online stuff, they always wanted a minimum of say 3 characters. Sometimes I could get away with -X-, but most of the time I couldnt, and "XXX" doesnt really make a good name for playing games online :P
So one day many years ago I was signing up for Heat.net so I could play WarCraft II on the internet. I again was trying to use my usual name of "X" and it didnt work. Well I got all pissed off and bashed the keyboard with my hands and a bunch of random letters were on the screen...something like "alimfjhs" or some other such random assortment of letters. I then hit backspace a few times and was left with "alim". After looking at it for a few minutes, trying to convince myself I was happy with it, I for some reason added an "a" at the end and had "Alima" which has been my name in every game Ive ever played since...

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

Mine is Derived from my yahoo ID. WKND_RONIN (weekend ronin). A Ronin is a masterless Samurai, and seeing as I work thru the week, I have a boss (or master), but on the weekend I am "masterless"... hence, WKND RONIN.

Everyone just dropped the WKND and calls me RONIN. My ubergeek spelling is "R0N!N" LOL.

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

Well I have multiple callsigns when it comes to paintball.

Batman: Due to the hat I used to wear (and still somtimes do) under my mask.
Radar: Due to my job in the navy and I guess I have predicted the future somewhat like radar from MASH.
Balor: My D&D Characters' name. I've used this name everywhere from D&D, to Ultima, to WoW to well... just name it.

Re: Your callsign, and how did you get it?

>>>>>I honestly don't remember where I got EyeKon from, but I've been using for all sorts of online forums/games for a long while now. I think I might have saw someone playing with just 'icon' as their name, and I liked the sound of it so I added eye into (I'm so cleaver, I know...), but I'm still not sure if thats where I got it from.

I used to use Star.Scream before that, because I'm a fan of the Transformers series (and Star.Scream is obviously the best leader the decepticons every had...)
