Re: Paintballers anonymous

I have the same problem sometimes too. I get into this "Buy paintball stuff" mode and I just get more and more stuff. The past couple weeks all I've been thinking about is playing paintball, and some of the guys in my platoon have not been helping because that's all they talk about too at times.

I don't live in Alaska, but you can mail it to me if you want because I have the same problem. T9 Convert, richochet apache lcd hopper for it, new x7 hopper, remote w/ slide check, new pair of boots, case of smoke bombs, bottom line drop forward adaptor and a membership to my local field.

Just shy of $800.. not including paint, all in the last 2 months

Re: Paintballers anonymous

IT is a never ending vicious cycle...

10 years ago, I got into Jeeps. Even you didn't know it, Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket. Money came in, money went out.

5 years ago, I got into AR15's. Money came in, more money went out.

Last year, I got into paintball. I could have a brand new AR for the amount I have spent on paintball in the last 3 months. Money going out...where is the money that is supposed to be coming in?

Live with the addiction...it is the only way

Re: Paintballers anonymous

Not trying to scare anyone here, but just wait until you have a son (or daughter) who wants to play with you. I get to buy everything twice! Don't get me wrong, I love having him with me! It's what they must have been thinking of when they made the phrase "quality time".

How far would a paintball travel on Mars if shot at 270 FPS out of an A5 with a flatline?

I would need to know the height the gun when fired, the force of gravity on mars, and the magnitude of air resistance. After I know those things, it should be easy. I might be able to find those last two numbers online... Now I have something to do other than look at paintball accessories. Thanks.

Re: Paintballers anonymous

Dude... I almost just bought a $400+ marker. Just now. I've bought 2.5 markers over the past 2 months. It never ends. I'm gonna try and sell something to justify my spending, but once you start it's damn hard to stop. You basically have to beat yourself into realizing you don't *need* it. Even then...

Markers and gear are like crack; once you get hooked it's damn hard to get off (btw, NOT speaking from experience... the "crack" bit, not the "paintball" bit).

Someone please slap me and get me thinking with my head instead of my trigger finger...
