Paintballers anonymous

Well I felt the need to create this thread because I have a very serious problem: I can't seem to stop spending money on paintball.

Well when I first got my A-5 for christmas, I asked for a male palmers stab, and an Apex. I thought that this would be all I need but then it started... First it was the camo. I bought a camo net, a vest I saw, pretty much everything I saw had a possible paintball application so I bought it. -about $150

Then it was the red dot. I bought this and when I saw it didn't fit, I had to get a rail. -about $80

Then the X-7 hopper so I can use the sight without an offset. -$18

Then the air line cover so it looked nicer. -$10

Then I needed a better barrel for accuracy and a stock. -$70

Then I needed a remote since the 20 oz. doesn't fit with a SAW stock. -$60

And the worst part is I got all of these without ever having actually played paintball yet...

I think I am done spending now. Mabye just one or two more little tiny things left but if I see something that I think might be useful, I have a hard time keeping myself from buying it.

Please help me.

Edit: It doesn't stop, ever... group therapy needed.

Well hopefull this thread will grow and become an excellent place for people with this particular problem to find help.

My possible ideas:
-Cut off my hands
-Mail my wallet to someone in Alaska. It should take a while to get back to me and when it does, it should be empty
-Create a device that electrocutes me everytime I spend money.
-Get suggestions from other people in this thread.

I think my last idea is best.

There is no cure! The best you can hope for is to manage the addiction. The sooner you come to grips with that, the happier you'll be. My advise - have fun with your money while you can. Disposable income has a way of becoming less disposable over time.

Re: Paintballers anonymous

Yep, I'm addicted, but the time with my kids, family and friends is priceless.

Just keep priorities straight

paintball - just can't stop
mortgage - have tents in case
electric - over rated
water - have creek in paintball field

Re: Paintballers anonymous

You are now on a never-ending, downward spiral. It won't stop. Don't try to fight it. You are now a pawn of corporate paintball and YOU WILL buy the latest and greatest piece of paintball equipment. You're only hope is to barricade yourself in your basement, or volunteer to be one of the astronauts on the first mission to Mars.
