Re: Military Service

Not US Forces, but i served in the Royal Air Force for 10 years, as military police. Worked along side the USMC and US Navy at RAF St Mawgan. Also worked with Spec forces doing resistance to interrogation training and combat survival. Happy days......

Re: Military Service

I've always dreamed of listing in the services! As some of you know, I was asking about different military fields earlier this month. Turns out I picked the Navy since I had NJROTC experienced. (it was more familiar to me) Sadly though I was disqualified from enlisting due to a birth defect with my right eye. My recruiters sent in a waiver to see what they could do but I wont hear anything about that for about a month they said. I had my hopes up before and that failed so I'm just gonna chill for now. If it happens it happens!

Apparently I can't do what you enlisted/retired military men/women do and that makes you my heroes! I love you guys!

Re: Military Service

Good luck Sk8er. If you make it that's gonna be awesome.

If I really wanted to I'd do my research and go toward being a military sniper. I know it's a lil rough as I have talked with a few snipers from USMC and US Army but it's more what I like even after they described the training.

I don't think I could do Force Recon though. I heard from a guy who had the option to either go FR or somewhere else (he was already a Marine so it was an option) and he said he knew some FR and he said he didn't know how they did it but they were like machines, always going and going hard.

Re: Military Service

I had to get a waiver also, St0KeD, because my vision is -9 diopters. Just because you need a weaver doesn't mean to give up hope! A waiver just means they need somebody of higher authority to look at your profile, other than that old crusty MEPS doctor.
