It always boggles me how people can become captured. Of course I've never been in the situation, but as long as I have a means to resist, I'll use it. I'd rather exchange rounds then get sliced & diced.

From what I've heard... most PoW's are injured and would die in the field. So they have two options.... they die fighting, or surrender to an enemy that will do only god knows what to you. Theres a chance that you might be rescued if you surrender but... Either you die shooting them, or they hit u in the face with the butt of a rifle. Personally... if I was about to become a pow I'd go down shooting. Just the idea of having your head cut off on tv or your body beaten and hung from a bridge isn't appealing to me. Save the last round for yourself.
