Re: Military Service

I am looking at joining either the Army or The Marine Corp. I would really like to fly Helios but I am color blind so I don't think that will happen.

Do your research. The US Army has the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Those guys can fly! Best helicopter unit in the military. But most of all get what you want and be happy. Pick the branch that can give you the most.

Re: Military Service

Yeah man that's a good deal. I joined the Army because I have always wanted to be a Soldier. I at least listened to my parents and tried a year a college but it wasn't what I wanted. I stepped into the recruiters office and asked about the 11B (Infantry MOS). The recruiters words were "Hold on a minute dude, the Army isn't just about infantry". Weeks later I was taking the ASVAB and I qualified to be Military Intelligence. I saw that at the very least after the military I would have alot of NSA training and a Top Secret Security Clearance.

I'm not going to lie I am a tad disappointed with the MOS because I really wanted to do something combat related. However I still have the opportunity to try out for a Special Operations unit or go to a tactical assignment (which is where I'm headed). Overall the Army has given me a ton and I've decided to reenlist. Just come in with a hard workers mentality and be ready to do whatever it takes and you'll be fine.

If you ever have any questions about the Army or military related things just shoot me a PM. I'm always glad to help.
