Ode to Nauzerlvr's MP5 - My 'Bellator' MP5

-Ode to Nauzerlvr's Signature MP5-

With Nauzerlvr's MP5
I fell in love, I did
I dare to say, I copied it
And dropped some serious quid.

So props for Nauz's artistry
His talent knows no other
I toast his skill with 'Bellator'
Hear! Hear! to Nauzerlvr!

I told Nauz I was going to copy his MP5 cause I liked it so much. His weathering technique gets so many "ooohs" and "ahhhs" from my friends, it's very satisfying! I also liked the idea of replacing the stock pins and screws with beefier stainless steel ones...they also go with the exposed metal. I kept my original sight, rail and used a different front grip. It's not an exact copy, but I really wanted to give credit where credit is due.

So, The Repressor is no more...please say "Hi" to Bellator*!

*Bellator means "fighting man" or "warrior" in Latin.

Awesome job Deacon... Nauz has created some great markers and the weathered look adds to the realizm... It is only proper that you give homage to an artist and his work... What better way!!!

I love it!

Yes, Nauz is awesome! I think he revolutionized the milsim look with the "well-used, but well taken cared of" look. Thank you and thanks to Nauz! Now maybe I can start saving money to afford an Airh0g one-of-a-kind!

You know what, that Metadyne stock is unbelievable. I used to think I needed six positions, but I was wrong! Folded out, it sits securely on my shoulder. Folded in, it's so maneuverable. Well-made and solid. I love that stock.

EDIT: Thanks for the rep!!!

Very Nice!!! I love the weathered look. I was nervous about doing it at first, because mods are expensive. It is a really simple look to achieve. Nauz's weathing 101 how-to was great and easy to follow. How do you smooth out the reciever halves? I did'nt touch mine yet, they need cleaned up. That coating is really on their.

That case is great! What does something like that cost?

Re: Ode to Nauzerlvr's MP5 - My 'Bellator' MP5

Thanks! His Weathering 101 is really easy to follow and is a satisfying aesthetic mod!

By "smoothing..." if you mean "polishing my internal receivers", then I followed this awesome thread by Monitor and used his sandpaper technique. Also very easy and time consuming when done right. You don't want to wear it down too much. I heard the Brasso technique was easier to do, as well. But I didn't have Brasso at the time.

Thanks for the rep!

No, not polishing the internals. The Outside. It looks smooth in the pictures, not rough. Do you give it a lite sanding or do you just take the scotch pad to it then oil it. Am I just seeing things. The outside just looks different. I want the same look.

It looks like you just oiled it.

Re: Ode to Nauzerlvr's MP5 - My 'Bellator' MP5

Oh yes, yes. I used those heavy duty Scotch Brite pads that Nauz recommended. That's the reason for the smoothness. The shine is from the 3-in1 Oil. It took me about 6 hours of watching TV and scrubbing to finish all the weathering from start to finish.
