Re: Speedball Setup

The freak will work if it has A5 threads. If it has A/C threads then youll need a barrel adapter. Im not a fan of the freak system, evne though they work, they seem to much of the bandwagon barrel kit.

The All american barrel has a 1 piece back and a 1 piece front. Im pretty sure the All American only has 1 size back too.

The freak systems are 2 piece backs(1 shell and 1 insert[with options]) and 1 front.
The freak jr. has less inserts. They come with .689, .691, and .693.
The Freak comes with i believe 7 inserts which covers the smaller sizes.

The freak system allows you to ahve any smart parts front like the tactical, freak, freak jr, all american etc. Go tot he smart parts website and check out the systems they have.

Re: Speedball Setup

For a speedball setup I would go with something like this:
-small drop forward
-regulator, Palmer's or other
-HPA tank of course
-E-grip (who cares what board, I just want the clicky trigger)
-magnetic trigger, whoever makes those
-barrel kit

That setup should work great for speedball. The shots will be consistent and the gun will be super-fast.

Personally for speedball I use my Mini but I have my A5 tuned in a similar way to what I described.

Re: Speedball Setup

I'd go with:
APE board w/ RI Magnetic trigger
Palmer's or AKA reg(AKA if using HPA)
68 or 45/45 HPA tank
Brass barrel or barrel kit
Possibly a drop
Vortex-QEPH if playing uncapped.

Re: Speedball Setup

That'd be any on/off just turned around. First you'd need a grip adapter from Lapco or similar.

A Reversed ASA is what you need.

For an A-5, you will need to get the Lapco grip plug which fills the slot in the bottom of the trigger frame.

Then you need a Duck Bill style ASA. they can be reversed and flipped around any way you want them too.
