Re: Hyperball?

We play it on a field size less than half of a speedball field. It has less players, 2-3 on either side and the time limits are shorter. it's alot of fun, unless you play against really great players who dominate all the time.

Re: Hyperball?

The hyperball that we have on our field is basically big tubes and stuff, so thats what it is from my understanding, so a speed ball field with tubes in the photo (that is still unfinished, its still being made) hope this helps with your question

Re: Hyperball?

well it can be in any setting, ours just happens to be in the bush, i mean the boys at the field took a parking lot and turned that into a speedball arena ,we just decided to add the hyperball into this scenario field we are building, but generally our hyperball fields are like that here in Australia, small, packed with those type of tubes

Re: Hyperball?

Hyperball is a concept field format (read "Speed Ball") made up of various diameters of black pipe. Other concept field types include "Legos", Airball, and Pallet fields. There are also hybrid fields which have two or more elements of other concept field types and Airball fields fall into two catagories, the old school style with soft air ducts and the modern vinyl airball field.

Re: Hyperball?

Hyperball has been around for as long as I can remember. It can be played anywhere and uses large pipes as bunkers.

Re: Hyperball?

hyperball is sweeeett!! i play it as a first game everyday i'm out at the field. it is modded from speedball because its a bit harder to "tuck in" like they do in speed. its a bit harder because you can't move the huge black tubes like the inflatables. the teams are smaller like said before...only 2-4or5 man teams...and the time limit is much faster. maybe only 2 or 3 minutes for the whole game. normally thats all you need to smoke a 4 man team. i've also smoked guys with mini's and supermodded IONs. its a fun game...give it try if you can!

Re: Hyperball?

Yeah, I was under the impression that Hyperball was like speedball - but with improvised terrain on the field.. ie pallets, wire spools, pipes and other assorted stuff to hide behind. SO it has a definate arena size and shape - but doesn't have the giant inflatable bunkers like a speed-ball field has. I *think* many speedball fields have a more uniform layout as well, where as hyperball is again more improvised and isn't necessarily mirrored.

I guess some people call it hyper-pipe too - and there is a term called "Spoolball" which is played on fields of wire spools. Mostly I've heard the term to be a blanket expression for the above.

All of the indoor fields I've ever played on thus far have been hyperball fields.

Re: Hyperball?

i play this at one of the fields of my friends. it is much more action packed, but it hurts like hell compared to regular speedball(cuz of the size). when you are playing hyperball expect to be hit at much closer ranges than any other game youve ever played
