Re: Which barrel for speedball playing?

the price of the palmer barrels depends on what you want.

and 12" brass finished non vented barrel is only $45 + shipping (8 to the midwest)

in comparison, thats not far off from your typical Lapco or smart parts barrel and not that much more than a J&J barrel.

and when you consider the fact that you are getting a barrel that does the job of 3-8 difference bore sized barrel, thats pretty cheap. and if you consider that for 53 bucks, i can have a barrel that does the same job as a 100-200 barrel kit.

the cheap palmer works for me, i don't like porting. its not that loud anyways and the more ports, the more places for gunk to build up and effect your accuracy.

Re: Which barrel for speedball playing?

I used only J&J 14'inch barrel, i'm satisfied with the accuracy of it. I've never had any trouble with it.

Re: Which barrel for speedball playing?

I use the full freak kit when i play. i have the 14inch set up. works great for speedball shoots rope for a good ways. kinda spendy though bought if you ever get a new marker you just buy a different back and you have a freak for both guns. very accurate but lacks a little range. i also just purchased a snubby tip that makes my full barrel only 7.5 inches. i love it so small and doesnt sacrafice any accuracy or range

Re: Which barrel for speedball playing?

For speedball, personally for me right now it's a 14" unported brass barrel.
But that might not be best for you...
How much are you willing to spend and is weight an issue?

Re: Which barrel for speedball playing?

I 'd use what ever feels well balenced on the gun and still shoots straight, personaly I'm a fan of smat parts progresive 12 or 14in, but there are alot of good barrels out there, and almost all are better then the stock one.

Re: Which barrel for speedball playing?

I'd go with a barrel kit so that you have all of the bore sizes and go with the 14 inch tip. In my opinion which kit you decide on doesn't matter a whole lot, for the most part it just is a difference in weight and slight porting differences between the brands.
