| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? I've played with my A-5 for several weeks now and it is grown into an extension of my arm. For the most part I shoot and then adjust. I would like a red dot mainly for cosmetic reason, but I am not sure how much I would actually use it. |

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? I have developed a highly specialized aiming technique for use with my A-5: I point the very end of my barrel at my target and squeeze the trigger. This occasionally produces favorable results ![]() Seriously, I have had issues with the sightline. Being left-handed, I have a huge blindspot in my 10-45 degree triangle, from the big ol' hopper. I compensate by sweeping fairly often.

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? In my personal experience you need to take out your A-5 and put somewhere between 1000-2000 balls of just aiming at targets in you yard. When doing this your body will start to realize the natural distance between you and the target through this practice and relativity. When aiming try different techniques like shoulder the marker and aim straight down the sites, tilt the marker to your mask and don't use the site, and etc. Using different techniques will allow you(and your brain)to know approximate distances and remember how you used your marker during practice shots to make the right adjustments without even aiming down the target. To further practice this I'd recommend shooting while walking, jogging, and running. And go bird hunting with a shotgun(pheasent, quail, dove, duck, etc...those are what I do anyways), seriously, when shooting a shotgun you keep both eyes open and are moving with a moving object and usually calculate your shot before hand without even noticing and then you place the shot in the appropriate estimated area. But then again it is paintball, and paintball and real life shooting are totally different and can't be compared to closely. All you really need to do is get a feel for you marker and your brain will learn, and the actions will be futher shown through your game. [edit] I hope this helps you in some way!

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? for some reason I can usually hit most things the size of a human head from about 30-50' out without aiming. usually within 1 to 2 shots. I dont use sights I just "point and click". Im sure my HPA tank and Palmers Brass barrel help with this...

Get a dogleg stock from Spec Ops. It bows outward so you can get your head in behind the marker and use the iron or other non-offset sights.

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? Find a comfortable shouldered position for the marker, Aim at something. Figure out where the paint lands and adjust to hit your target. Do it before games, remember the feel of ther marker, in your hands and on your shoulder. You should "muscle memory" that position soon enough. Then it's as easy as point and shoot. |
