| how do you aim with your a5's? as many of you may know, i recently just got my a5 and ive only had time to shoot in the back yard (with no mask), however today i tried on my mask to see how my view would be and i cant aim for jack! haha Then I remembered someone on the forums saying a red dot scope is useless because you can't aim with the a5 with a stock on the end while wearing a mask unless you turn your head to the side.so i guess ill be doing my old tactic of shooting a few shots then adjusting from there to hit a player if i miss the first few shots.. i know this isn't exactly speedball info, but i thought up close action was more as many of you may know, i recently just got my a5 and ive only had time to shoot in the back yard (with no mask), however today i tried on my mask to see how my view would be and i cant aim for jack! haha Then I remembered someone on the forums saying a red dot scope is useless because you can't aim with the a5 with a stock on the end.so i guess ill be doing my old tactic of shoot a few shots then adjust from there to hit a player if i miss the first few shots.. i know this isn't exactly speedball info, but i thought up close action was more appropriate under speedball rather than woods. So anyways id like to hear how the rest of you aim with your a5's. It can be anything from speedball or woods i dont mind. just trying to get ideas to better myself. | Re: how do you aim with your a5's? I couldnt aim at all with my A5 when I had a stock. The only way for me to do so, was to spend over $100 in sight rail offsets and risers, and sights. I figured, instead of doing that, I could spend that money on mods that will really help. So I got rid of the stock, got a rail and ASA, and...run air on gun with HPA. Either that, or I spray and Pray, which, I still do.

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? I got JCS offset rail for my markers, and used it a few times with my red dot. Still need to adjust sometimes, but for the most part I'm with-in a few feet of where I'm aiming and if there is a bunch of players in a group it's a sure thing to get a kill. ![]()

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? I had the same problem with my A-5 but after a year with the same set up I can get decent first shot accuracy just guestimating where it will hit because I'm used to the gun. |

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? I have JUST recieved my A5 Stealth in the mail and have shot it around the house a bit.. (Don't ask). I am somewhat disapointed that I can not use the iron sights because of the CAR stock. What is the best way to fix this? Keep in mind, I want to keep my stock. I also do not want to aim though a window, I want to use an iron sight. any ideas? Thanks |

| Re: how do you aim with your a5's? can't do much about it. generations...well...in all the years of the production of the A-5, this has been a question asked. and there the answer is no. there's no real solution. you can not have a Solid stock on an A-5 and still use the Iron sights. why? because the Stocks mount off the end cap and end up too high+the mask and you just can't see. some people offest their sights and this will work. there are a few stocks that are also offest. like the dogleg stock from special ops. Stocks that will mount off the grip frame will also work and work very well. but you can't have a realistic looking stock and look down the iron sights. |
