Re: Does anybody have bad tunnel vision while playing?

I always thought it was harder than it needed to be to acquire your target in the A5's front site. When I did I had to concentrate on it only when firing (a form or cause of tunnel vision?). Drove me crazy. I finally took a hack saw to the front site and removed the ring leaving only the post. I then painted the side of the post facing me in fluorescent orange. Gave me a much greater field of view without sacrificing accuracy. This seemed to help me, at least.

Re: Does anybody have bad tunnel vision while playing?

Sights and stocks can have a big impact on your shooting habits and how often you look into a scope or move your head to aim at an enemy.
If you are not able to line your barrel up in front of your nose then you are forced to adjust every time you shoot. This will cause you to attach your self to your sights, missing everything but your target.

heres some tips, next time you play move your eyes up down left right repeatedly and even when you find you target continue scanning. train your self by watching his movements out of the corner of your eyes and practice your snap shooting and firing posture.

SKRA makes a valid point. Humans detect movement with their peripheral vision and color/shading with their forward vision. Ever notice the more you "train" on a given stationary target, the faster you lose it? We also tend to 'focus' on the sight, rather than the target. This is why the claim "sights/scopes/red dots are useless in PB" is made. Always concentrate on the TARGET, more than your sights and move your eyes from side to side to avoid 'losing' the stationary target all together.

Re: Does anybody have bad tunnel vision while playing?

I've taught myself to always keep my head moving from left to right like clockwork, unless I need to watch my footing. A good scan of an area can save you a lot of pain later.

If you know where a target is, that is when you should be scanning for secondary targets that are trying to flank you - you should be able to track the primary's movement with your perhipheral vision after you mark their location. So essentially after you make contact, ignore the contact for a few seconds and take the time to look around every once in a while. If you see another OpFor comign up on a side, perform a strategic withdrawl to decrease the angle that they have on you and force them to regroup so that you have a chance to take one of them out when you set up a quick ambush.

^Well at least that's what I do.
