Re: In adition to "Your Mil-sim role"

I've gone out armed ONLY with a few grenades and a radio to send intel back.

Re: In adition to "Your Mil-sim role"

Providing intel for the team is one of the most important jobs of a sniper. There's nothing quite like calling in positions to your team and watching your boys wipe out the opposition knowing you helped to make it all happen!! It's better than shooting them yourself!!

Since "sniping" is really scouting in paintball due to the distance constraints (can't shoot accurately more than about 100 feet), your sniper should be filling the role of scout. A well hid sniper can be of much more use to his team in some situations if he never moves/fires (even though the enemy is within range) and calls in their position, then sweeps behind to provide a rear assault once his team engages!!

An active team member running all over the place.
I'm normally the guy who is yelling at the team to move up and telling people where the incoming fire is coming from.

Just curious.

Why capitalize the first letter of every word?

we usually play free-for-all games... but alliances are still made & broken at whim. Teams are key

Re: In adition to "Your Mil-sim role"

Team! Nothing is better than outfiring, outmanuvering, and staright up up dominating a "Sniper".

Just because you slap a long barrel on you gun and buy a ghillie suit does not make you a sniper. And the last time i checked, Snipers are used in TEAMS of at least 2. I don't care how good you are, 1 sniper by himself will get owned by walk on players.

Re: In adition to "Your Mil-sim role"

I do what I can to always inform the "team" (or "side") I am playing with of the opposition's positions and situation. If I can work as a "fire team" with some of my fellow players, GREAT! But if I can't, I will "lone wolf" it while still doing what I can to help my side. I feel that is what the game is about.
