| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds I go out with about 300 rounds total. 200 IN Hopper, 100 in Pod. I rarely use the pod. I find that cover fire in paintball is just firing enough to keep the opponents attention while others flank for the kill. I'll fire 3 shots. Let opponents fire 10. fire 3 more to keep their attention.

Theres an idea! Carrying paint as a workout! ![]() I carry a full hopper(stock) and 6 150's for a 25 minute game. |

| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds I feel that it depends on the role you are playing. If you are going light and fast, it may be enough paint. If you are playing HG, you will probably run out. My opinion is that it is better to have extra paint than to run out when you may really need it. I carry 10 140rd ods on my PCS vest w/ a spare bottle. You never know how much you will need. But, I like to be prepared. You can always carry a few 100rd pods in a BDU pocket and drop your vest to make a quick run if need be. |

| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds I would say NO(like many others) but it depends. 400 could be a minimum. I use a full hopper and two 140's as a base minimum. For a 30 min, especially if there are respawns you could easily run low. I am a belever in not carrying more than you need but make sure you bring enough. I have rarely run out, but have on occasion had to limit my fire due to being on that last pod I carried out. |

| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds Problem here is too many variables. How many players are you playing against, size of field, layout, how expierenced is the other team. Are you playing out in the open. Hiding, sitting on the fence etc. Each player is different. ea. game is different. I;ve played in games where I used 100 rd's. the others shot 500. It depends on the individual player.

| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds I say load up if you can handle the weight. I think if you play support, you're expected to carry more than the guy or group you are supporting. There are games where I may not have fired more than 10-20 shots, but then the follow up game where I burned 800+ You can't predict how it's all going to go down. My standard carry is a full hopper + (4) 140 round pods for a mission like that.

| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds Ive gone throught around 500 in 1 round but i did get like 12 people out tho. we were playing ambush with my egrip at 20 bps and i was the heavy gunner so it was my duty to keep their heads down if not out by the initial shooting. so if your like me and a heavy bunker down gunner it will not be enough Last edited by infextion : 11-12-2006 at 11:37 AM. |

| Re: Support Role: Are 400 Rounds Sufficient For 30 Minutes Rounds As stated by others, it all depends. I go out with 4 140’s and a full hopper and honestly I can either burn it in a game or go all day with it. Also in a suppression roll it depends as well. You can keep someone pinned down at 5 BPS in short bursts, or you can spray paint until you are out. And contrary to what some folks think, BOTH do the same thing. It is all about style and personal preference. I just tend to be a limited paint kind of guy. I only use what I feel is needed to do what needs to be done and no more. Plus I have found that the more you shoot the more of a target you make yourself. So I prefer to only shoot when I need to and make myself noticed as little as possible. ![]()
