| Cheaters Scenario: You mark a player, and as he stands up, his team mates get you. As you walk off the field you see the player you marked wipe himself off and continue to play. What are you going to do? |

| Re: Cheaters In the recent events that I have heard of someone getting "lit up", I would not recommend doing this because of the standard that it sets. I would say something to the official and then walk off. I would be gunning for the wiper next time. We are supposed to set a higher standard for paintballers. I would not want a younger baller see me "light someone up"and then try to tell them that it is wrong to overshoot someone. You can teach more by example than just by telling someone. |

| Re: Cheaters Agreed, lighting someone up can lead to other problems. It is best to try all other measures before even thinking of doing that. But I have to point out that marking the player AGAIN is not an option in this situation (as posted). The reason is that YOU have already been marked out as well and are exiting the game. By simply remarking the player you are breaking the rules as well. Remarking a player should only be done if you are still in play. And then I say… mark as many times as needed for them to leave the game. This does NOT mean overshooting though. Each time you mark them it should be within the field’s rules. Only if they continue to fire at you (or other players) should you continue to put balls on target continually IMHO (but there are limits to that as well). And that does not mean as fast as you can either. You don’t need to shoot someone 15+bps for them to get the point. There can be a fine line between playing and assault, and sometimes not so fine line. I will also clarify my post above, when I said state loudly that he was out, I do not mean yell AT him necessarily. It is so all other players in the area know what happened… as well as any Refs that are in ear shot. But you have to say it loud or players/staff will not hear you. Avoid direct confrontation if you can but get the message out.

| Re: Cheaters if you exactly know the person who cheated, i would talk to him personally to get things straight. it is a lot better when you talk to somebody than complain. one good example was last weekend, someone lit me up when i was out already. the guys searched for me in the parking lot and fortunately found me and said sorry about what he did. i feel a whole lot better after that because i know that he did not shoot with the intention of hurting me.

| Re: Cheaters I would have to agree with Shartley. If in the middle of a game, I call a paint check and let refer know. Does it again, I let everyone know. If it's another group that is the problem, then we don't play with them again.

| Re: Cheaters Normally, I'd stalk the player but I find that that really limits my gameplay and I'll likely run into him again next game anyway. I'd likely accuse him in front of his team and see what he has to say.
