Re: Cheaters

I only play on outlaw fields so it doesn't really matter. But in the event it did matter I'd go out of my way to gog him every time after that.

that & the paint I buy says "high visibility to prevent wiping" on the box

Re: Cheaters

I play mainly outlaw, and I invite everyone who comes. I explain the rules to everyone, and if they don't follow the rules, they don't get invited again. So I rarely have cheaters on my field.

If I was playing at a field, I would inform a ref that I saw that person wiping. If they fuss with me or the ref I would probably hunt him down the next game.

Re: Cheaters

Or you could always go up and bunker them. Put 4 or 5 right in the ribs and see if they try to wipe that.

Re: Cheaters

Someone I play with is known for wiping. Our group of friends used to be impressed with him being a "run 'n' gun" action guy and surviving the whole game, but now we all know how he does it. We figure kharma will catch up to him one day with the wrong paintball players who hate cheaters. (aka those insane speedballers that throw fits when they get shot) We don't worry about it, we think of him as "never ending target practice". =D

Re: Cheaters

I stalked this one guy down and got him out. When I saw him again, I hunted him down. 1 shot, 1 kill. I just made sure he sat out more then he played! Never lit him up. Just annoyed him.

I told the ref and he said "point him out", well you can't when there is everyone running around. He suggested, if I couldn't point him out, send him out, with a shot! Not my fault that every time it was in the head.

Re: Cheaters

As much as I would like to say I would be all calm and rational, I wasn't the couple of times I encountered blatant cheating. In large part because the 14yo ref didn't feel the need to punish one of his speedball buddies. So, my squad made the cheater our "new hobby". We reported his location to each other and always made sure at least 2 or 3 people shot him. The little cheater STILL played on. I was really disgusted. While refilling at the pro shop/ office, I was grousing and the head ref/ field owner's son overheard me. He hopped on an atv and went out and chewed some ref butt.

Didn't change anything so after one more similar experience, I voted with my feet. Even tho that field is 15 minutes from my house, I drive 90 minutes for a high quality paintball experience. The one in my sig.

Re: Cheaters

I would shoot him again and if he does it again....well I guess it's just a manner of ethics in play.
