Inform the refs, then talk to the cheater yourself, and explain that cheating gives paintball a bad name, and that paintball should be known for its honest players, not its cheaters. If he doesnt listen, and you catch him wiping next game... You can do what my little brother did.

I had been stalking a couple guys with my little brother and my dad. I was up ahead of everyone else, and got caught in an ambush. I hit one person above the forearm, so he was out. I was hit in various places, and called myself out. I walked over to where the ref was sitting so I could watch the rest of the game.

I waited for the guy I hit to walk off, but he never did.(I noticed that the bright yellow paintball splat I had delivered was smeared to almost inexistence) Instead, he played on, advanced up the hill trying to flank. bad idea.

My little brother had seen everything that had happened, and just as mister cheater dove out from behind his cover, lil bro gives em what for until the guys stopped running and yelled for mercy.

Now note, this guy was at least 16 (my little bro is twelve, owned!) staging right beside us the whole day, using the filthiest language, treating everyone else like idiots, and (question mark?) had thrown his A5 down on the ground in disgust of being hit in the previous game? (you could tell that HE didnt pay for that A5!!!)


The first thing he does after the game is start blaming the little bro for "cheating". We just ignored him and let it go.

Don't usually play at a field so I haven't yet encountered a wiper. If I was to encountered I would immediately talk to the ref and next time I saw him I would have a private word with him. If I saw him do it again... I'll leave it to your imagination

I would give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he made a mistake, or a ref told him mistakenly he was clean. One shouldn't get bent out of shape over a match of paintball. Additionally, if he needs to cheat to win, it's so pathetic I would let him win a few.

I would steal his girlfriend.


All joking aside, I'm with Marx on this one. I wouldn't get too bent out of shape. It's a game, after all. There's always a next time.

However, if he/she wiped/cheated on a regular basis and wasn't getting caught or called on it, I would bring it to the attention of the ref first...team mates next and failing that....then I would hose 'em down.

Just buy one of Doc's Machines I club cheaters tshirts and strap a large club to your back and you shouldn't have to worry about cheaters again.

This happened to me & my buddies last weekend. We were outnumbered 9 to 14 & despite their numerical advantage they still felt the need to cheat. I informed the two refs, one said he'd seen wiping & would keep a closer eye on them, there wasn't much much more I could do though. I always shoot wipers again, though I wouldn't 'light them up'.

Yeah last weeekend i got lit up but by the kid who was SUPPOSED to be on mah freaking team. now thats bad,

honestly,....I walk off the field and say to myself, "thats pretty sad to feel you have to cheat in paintball". Then the next game I avoid that person if possible and continue to play my game.

Cheating is there, it's hard if not impossible to stop it. The only way to guarantee a hit will be noticed is to use real guns, I don't think any of us want to go that route.

You know, wipers will never get much better as players & that's their real punishment. When I'm out it's generally because I made a mistake, if I take time to think about that mistake & how not to do it again then I tend not to make the same mistake twice (I hope).
If you wipe off the hit then how are you ever going to get better?

If someone did that to me while I was playing I would shoot him again right away and keep my marker aimed at him and say "You want sommore you little *****!" (unless he is bigger than me )
