Ok so I've been anticipating an upcoming tourney that was held today. Many of the fields they are at, however, are about 45 minutes away, not too bad. For some of us young guns who aren't 16 yet (so close!), we need transportation. Although my dad is often forced to work on Saturdays, and my mom refuses to drive too far, she not the biggest on taking drives. This week I found out he would be forced to work, and I kept telling him it would be fine, I'd find some way to work it out with my mom. He kept saying he could take off, he would just be penalized, and I kept saying not to if its going to get him in trouble.

Well last night came around and he came home to tell me that he did indeed take off and accordingly got a penalty (must go in every saturday for 60 days or something). He said he simply told his boss that he had family to be with. He took me along with my mom and brother to the tourney today, and it was a blast (I got a bunch of welts though, but thats another thread). They went to a festival nearby while I played, and they picked me up later it was great.

He knew I wanted to go to this for about a month, and I thank him for everything he does for me, he even chipped in $10 because I only had enough for 1000 rounds, but he helped me buy a case.

I have the greatest dad in the world. I hope you can say the same for your dad

I can! Today we spent half the day at an auction (I spent a whopping 50 cents!!!) and then spent the rest of it building this on the 'lawball field:

For your dad. I also have a father that has sacrificed for me. That is what being a father is all about. I am looking forward to spending some paintball time with my kids as soon as they get a little older. I am sure if you would ask him though, he would not consider it a sacrifice. Glad you got to go and post how you did at the tourney.

It was just a throw together have fun tourney. I didn't have a team as the woodsball/scenario team I planned on playing with were there as refs. The team I joined was pretty cool and we did okay, but I don't even know how the brackets stood at the end, I'm not even sure who won yet. I think I left before the final game was over. After we were eliminated, we played a buttload of speedball, and after like 10 games of that I was done (Check welt thread! ).

That thing is awesome..whatever it is! Is it just a cool looking bunker or are you guys going to make a house or something.

Its an extra house to back up the one we live in. But the building inspector rejected it... said it needed handrails before he would pass it.

lol its a bunker that is made completely out of sets of stairs. Sorry about the thread hijack. I didnt think it would go this far.
